Appearance

Abraia's figure is slender, her skin is smooth, and her complexion is fair. Her natural black hair is often tied up or styled to whatever suits her mood. As a skilled Crested mage, her appearance can vary wildly and is usually dependent on the occasion. She appears as she thinks she should in a given situation and usually in a way she thinks is attractive. Her features usually include a well-sculpted nose and full lips that curve beautifully when she smiles..

Personality

Abraia is brash and abrasive to most people except elves. She dislikes elves very much but knows not to push her luck and to force politeness. She will not associate with an elf unless absolutely necessary. She is the kind of person who is sad to be a human in a society ruled by elves but she hides it well from elves. She knows her place in life and does not strive to achieve more than what is expected of her. She is always mindful of her manners and conduct,. She upholds her responsibilities with a level of maturity that makes her coworkers respect her.

History



Abraia's parents were both sundered at different parts of her life. They were magicians who had flown too close to the sun. First her mother went when she was twelve, then her father when she was eighteen. The tragedy drove home just how dangerous success could be. Abraia had a natural talent for magical crafts but unlike her parents, she hid her skill. She never performed particularly well at her job, instead keeping her more advanced work private and hidden.

This changed when her parents died. She needed more money to support herself so she started making more advanced things but she refuses to get publicly better. She has always held minor resentment towards the aelven people. She understands why they treat humans the way they do, but she does not outwardly agree with it. Because she has to hide her emotions and thoughts, she is kind of a loner and never made many lasting friends.

Abraia lives in Græntún by herself in her parents' 1250 square foot old home. Much of the living space has been remodeled to fit her crafter's lifestyle. The kitchen was replaced by a forge, the dining area with an anvil, etc. The basement contains everything she needs to do advanced alchemistry and ensorcelling.

The home is styled like a cabin with a fairly large yard separating her from her neighbors.

A woman Abraia met when she was recruiting people to help with her project with Caelum. Sherry was an associate professor who was specializing in animal husbandry.

A cousin of Abraia's who mans the Arcane Anvil more often than not. She is often at odds with Abraia but she still loves and respects her. Being hot headed and abrasive is common in the Hulder family but Natea has exceptional customer service.

Smithing Dominion Approval

Name: Shadow Craft

Metaphor: Abraia establishes Dominion over Anathema (Dissolution, Change, Despair, Shadows). She does this by harnessing her dark angry feelings towards those who have wronged her and her family.

Note: Anathema is weak against Luxium. Shadow Crafted items are half as effective when going up against Luxium.

Abilities:

Passive – Shadow Hardening
Abraia can make things that are harder than normally possible. She accomplishes this by mixing her blood and metaphor during the forging process.

Active - Shadow Materials
Abraia can capture materials in her shadow and bind them to it, in turn pulling out pieces of her own shadow. Abraia can replicate absorbed material. This does not let her mix materials, only replicate them individually. This is not something she can do in combat, and its only purpose is to be used whilst crafting. Making alloys out of her shadow would be a handled by Alchemy down the line.

The ability only works on minerals. Mundane materials would be free, while magical ones still need to be purchased with Seasonal Points at a 50% discount. It requires a blood sacrifice ritual to replicate CR5 and CR6 materials but large quantities but the blood doesn't need to be hers.

Active - Shadow Drain
Abraia can take things she replicates with Shadow Materials and break them down into Anathemite. This lets her buy anathemite for 5Sp.

Buff - Shadow Refinement
By pinching the edge of a blade, Abraia can sharpen it. This sharpness lasts for a season and makes blades cut through things much more easily.
