di Sobiek clan

The di Sobiek house was created and founded by the mercenary couple, Shabaket the Ivory Warrior, and the exiled Princess Setraeh. Originally a company named after the famed nomadic tribe of Sobyeke Oasis, Shabaket founded the mercenary company on the idea of 'cleansing' the land of the Vokhai. Shabaket's company principles were built on a simple foundation that named the Jin'Norai as the heirs of Arcanis and the Vokhai as filthy inhabitants tainting the land. The di Sobiek would eventually become a clan of close-knit individuals paving the way for Jin'Norai to make a cultural impact on the desert finally. Shabaket believed in uplifting his brethren and destroying anyone who stood in the way of it.

Setraeh was considered the clan's rock at the time. While her husband, a barbarian prospect, focused on growing the company's numbers and training soldiers, Setraeh focused on diplomatic ties, business relations, and negotiations. Setraeh is the very reason the di Sobiek has a name today. During the company's travels, Setraeh would create quite the menagerie, eventually leading to the creation of a special desert breed of horses and an expensive delicacy of meat that only the di Sobiek could produce.

There was a time when Sobiek's company fell silent. The descendants of Shabaket and Setraeh were no longer interested in being mercenaries. Instead, the di Sobiek focused on their kin and became a nomadic clan heavily focused on growing the numbers of their herds and flock. Still, combat was essential to defend their home from raiders. The clan's numbers seemed to grow exponentially as well. The di Sobiek had a habit of picking up dying men in the desert and giving them a purpose.

Politics weren't an interest until a city-state once refused to give a child of the di Sobiek back to them. The clan rioted against the city, bringing it to ruins. The clan was very tactful with their decisions in battle. This grabbed the attention of the Rakshasa. In the end, the clan became glorified guardsmen tasked with protecting trading routes and flushing out the land of unwanted creatures.

Today, di Sobiek is lead by Vyllmore di Sobiek. Vyllmore di Sobiek is a man who still practices the barbaric fighting style created by his ancestors yet he emphasizes the importance of diplomatic ties. At an old age, he is still learning his place amongst Arcanis nobility, working his way into the court of many cities either through marriage or friendship.

The Shah

Often referred to as the makeshift city, The Shah can claim an impressive amount of land with pavilions, tents, and caravans (usually reserved for the main family). It is a group that can create a home out of nothing, building impressive mechanisms of defense on short notice to protect its people. When the Shah is close to other cities and towns, it is open to the public to sell goods and services. The Shah is known to have the most impressive herds of animals and some may even find a monster bounty hunter in the tents. The Shah is made up of the di Sobiek house, many possessing the last name despite the main house being considered the only branch of the family that reigns. However, the last name is what keeps those within The Shah loyal unto themselves. The Shah usually moves as a unit and whenever the chief, leader of House di Sobiek, calls on them to fight, they do it without hesitation. The Shah will split to protect different trading points of Arcanis to make sure it's secured every other season.

Hey there!

This is all perfectly appropriate to Arcanis, and therefore approved. I would suggest giving some thought to what kind of Rakshasa(s) may have become interested in the di Sobiek clan, and what their relationship has been.
