After centuries of silence, the gray, gaping maw in the sky above Slahane leading to Caligony has begun to show signs of life once more. Formerly presided over by the once Godhead of Rot, Corruption and Monstrosities known as Pelezotz, any activity from that wretched place would be seen by most as a portent most grave. However, remote as Slahane is, much of Antarok remains ignorant to this– though not for long.
Strange, anomalous events have begun to occur all over the world not long after the first flickers of activity within Caligony were recorded.

Strange, anomalous events have begun to occur all over the world not long after the first flickers of activity within Caligony were recorded.
"Mysterious Monstrosities" is an opt-in event that will last for the foreseeable future. Quest threads may be open or closed, and include any number of people. The exact details thereof are intentionally vague, as there are an array of events one may partake in and they can happen anywhere on Antarok. Some examples include monster invasions, mysterious disappearances, mass transformations, the spontaneous appearances of bizarre monoliths, and so on.
If one wishes to participate, please contact me (Vicissitude) either through the site or via Discord and I will arrange something for you. Otherwise, it can be assumed that the local governance is doing their level best to keep the strange happenings and wretched beasts at bay as they pop up.

Before a thread will be made, players can select from one of three difficulty levels, as well as the scope of the quest. Alternatively, a player may pick "dealer's choice" for either of these categories, handing the choice over to the moderator.

Focusing more on storytelling, PCs may be put into dangerous situations but there will be no OOC risk of permanent harm or death.
Perilous Adventure:
PCs accept risk of permanent harm or alterations.
Deadly Adventure:
PCs accept the risk of permanent death.

A light quest is intended to be fairly short, most likely a single thread.
Standard:
The middleground, standard will likely take up more than one thread but won't drag on too long.
Grand:
Potentially spanning across multiple seasons, a grand quest will keep a character occupied for a long time.

Each completed event quest will reward participating players in one way or another. Options will vary based on the scope and level of danger involved.
