Færamflora / Pheremona
Habitat:
Grows in grasslands, savannahs, and deserts. Bioluminescent varieties exist at the border of Aelfheim and the desert.
Size:
A one foot tall plant with petals a couple inches long.
Biome Role:
Patches of these flowers will typically grow in the presence of large quantities of dead animals. It increases animal populations by releasing pheromones that are universally effective. It's thought that the effect is an attempt at restoring animal populations to their normal level.
Life Cycle:
These flowers can grow year round if the right conditions are met. They take a couple weeks to bloom and often die within the span of a few days, right after releasing their spores.
Cultural Significance:
Its pollen is incredibly sought after for its aphrodisiac properties. While expensive and a pain to grow outside their habitat, it's often used in brothels and has a very pleasing smell. The exact smell seems to vary from person to person but it's always one that triggers hormonal response.
Description:
This flower is rather unassuming but has an uncanny effect of creating pleasing smells. It is incredibly useful under the right circumstances.
