Fluffy's morning was very lazy. She was so tired from going around town and adjusting her bow the previous day that she didn't know if she would actually get anything done. Still, she managed to muster up the courage to bathe herself and sit at the window for the sun to help dry her hair. After that, Fluffy decided to make herself some breakfast.
She boiled some eggs. As she waited eons for the water to start boiling, she realized there was a reason why she never got around to doing this more often. Waiting for the eggs to boil felt like an eternity - it seemed like time was standing still. Fluffy was so bored that she had to find ways to pass the time. Even though it was tedious, Fluffy was eventually rewarded with eggs that weren't even fully cooked.
Then, she put the eggs in the pot and wondered how long she ought to let them sit there. She was glad she tested one egg first and left the rest to boil. The good news was that the rest of the eggs did end up cooking all the way given enough time.
When she was finished with her meal, Fluffy stood up and it occurred to her that it would be best for her to take a walk around the area. With Kage still away on his mission, she was given leave to do Inari things, such as blending in with humans. She needed to eat livers, for one, plus she kept tabs on interesting Faelnir so that she might report them to Kage should he return.
This usually meant she had to forge relationships with faelnir. This particular location was still strange to her and as such even the most mundane of activities such as taking a walk was always an exciting endeavor. She walked through the town and gained some appreciation for how faelnir lived their blissfully ignorant lives. She noticed children playing, said 'hi' to neighbors and observed the features of the shops and cafes.
After reaching her temporary "home" Fluffy felt that she needed to warm up a bit and hence she did some stretching on her living room floor. She mostly wanted to focus on stretching her back since she considered it to be the major muscle group as far as archery was concerned. At last she squeezed her hands until she thought that it is enough. She was in a dip position and she was mostly using her body weight to do most of the work.
Fluffy was about to go but she noticed how long her nails had gotten and she knew it was going to get in the way of her archery if she didn't cut them. She took a knife to them and carefully tried to chip away and shape them into an appealing shape.
She wasn't that good though so they did not turn out as good as she expected them to be. Fluffy's eyes shifted towards them nervously and from her bag she took out a nail file. She then devoted the next half an hour to them where she filed and shaped the nails into submission.
She was careful to make sure the edges were smooth but she wasn't skilled enough to properly round them out. When she was finished, she admired her work and was pleased with how her nails had turned out even if they had been shaved down a little too much. With her nails now in an acceptable condition, Fluffy was ready to get to her archery practice without any more distractions.
If only life were so simple.
Just outside was a man who knocked on the door twice, as he'd done the previous day, and just like the previous day Fluffy rushed to answer the door a few seconds later. It was none other than the man who was currently helping Fluffy get by. She had the form of a normal faelnir woman, well, normal aside form appearance. She looked drop dead gorgeous.
This' man's name… Fluffy couldn't even remember it. She knew it started with an S… Sa… it was no use, she couldn't remember. They'd only known each other for a handful of days and Fluffy had been quick to commit to him and ask him for money. She wasn't entirely sure if he knew what their arrangement actually was, whether he actually liked her, or if he knew he was giving her money just to get close to a pretty woman.
There was an awkward silence as the two just looked at each other. Fluffy hadn't expected him to come over. They'd just seen each other the previous evening after all. She decided to not say a word he wrapped his arms around her and held her close. While her arms are wrapped around her and her tiny form leaned against him, he was relieved that he was not experiencing any serious pain, which was a blessing after spending far too much time working recently.
After a full minute has passed, the two of them finally let go of each other. As Fluffy shut and locked the door, the man's adoring gaze traveled over her attire, which is one he recognized as a new outfit. It was clear that she was headed somewhere and he found it so endearing to watch her just standing there.
Fluffy let her new "boyfriend" in and he took a look around her small cottage. "I smell eggs," he said.
Fluffy smiled. "I was just making breakfast. Would you like to join me?" She gestured to the table. "I made boiled eggs. I made too many, really so you can have some."
The boyfriend smiled back. "That sounds delicious. Thank you." He sat down and Fluffy started peeling the eggs. They engaged in small talks as they enjoyed the food. Fluffy was already bored of this man but he was likely to be her next meal. She felt no warmth in her chest that she might feel for someone she actually liked. No, Kage was the only one she was allowed to like. Hell, she didn't even fuck these men – if that was ever necessary she was sure Sylvia could be called to take care of that. A little transfiguration work could do wonders.
"I don't have to get to work until later," he said. He'd half expected her to be gone because he didn't know what she did for work but he didn't think there was any harm in stopping by.
Fluffy giggled, "so you thought you'd come here for a little… entertainment?"
"Something like that," he said with a nervous smile. The way he looked at her made Fluffy feel like he actually did like her and thought he was lucky that she was promiscuous.
They moved gently around the small home, and as they did so, the boyfriend noticed that she was squirming a little bit and tugging her clothes. He figured she was swamped by emotions, or unsure of what could happen next, or maybe that they simply embraced too long.
Who could say? In any case, he placed an arm over her shoulder and then proceed to share the spacious bed that was situated in front of the home's largest window. At once, his fingers and her fingers interlock. He swung his head to look at her and blood rushed to his face making it as red as her lips.
"Fluffy, you look… very nice," he said, blushing a little. Finally he was able to say the words gently without having to worry whether stuttering would interfere. She wrapped her fingers around his even more forcefully and he saw how she kept adjusting her clothes. She looked to be in a lot of pain and tried to avoid his gaze by bending her head down and laying it on his chest while she looked up at him with her eyes.
In an instant she changed from loving 'girlfriend' to vicious animal. She opened her mouth and bit into his neck. He couldn't even scream – the sound was prevented from leaving his mouth. He flailed his arms to try stopping her, but she was already sticking her sharp nails into his abdomen and clawing her way into him. It wouldn't be long before she would have his liver in her hands.
Before he died she transfigured him into a little bug. She let it fly around helplessly for a minute, watching it as it tried desperately to escape. She licked her lips then ended the man's life with a flick of her wrist. This was, in her opinion, the easiest way of making sure there was no mess to clean up, aside from the blood all over her bed, but as a woman she could pass it off as a bad period. Nobody was going to ask a pretty lady why she had some bloodstained sheets.
Feeling satisfied, Fluffy cleaned herself back up and went out of the door – it was time to find another boyfriend.
