Secluded away from most of the nations of Antarok, is the glorious Empire of Jian. A foreign gem, the Jian Empire is a country of beauty, mysticism, & a deep rich culture. Steeped heavily in the sense of duty, honor, & virtue, the empire maintains an air of mystery to outside influences. Historically they have warred with the from the west, but have recently come to ignite fires in civil conflict between would-be mage kings & fledgling Dragon Lords.
The eastern country is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral since this peace and have never been involved in the affairs of the world to the west. The culture here is rich, from the food they eat to the many life practices they perform each day, which are based on a spiritual background. While most nations see Jian as reclusive and aloof, they understand the necessity of acting only when the time is right.
The last empire of humanity, the jingoist people of Jian are known to the rest of the world as dragon riders and sorcerers who venerate the dragons who fight alongside them and share their wisdom of the world. Jian is a vast and bureaucratic empire that struggles with internal conflict, warring mage-lords and naive dragon kings fighting civil wars while fending off Vokhazan to the west.
