Appearance
Khain towers above most Gnolls, standing at an impressive 10ft. Her build is naturally bulky, and her fur displays the striking pattern of an Ardwolf. Adorned in a harness, she favors donning armor whenever possible. With her imposing stature and the appearance of a humanoid ardwolf hyena, Khain is a formidable presence indeed.
Personality
Many have said;
"she's not right..."
"There's something wrong with her."
"Stay away from that one... she ain't all there."
Khain doesn't even know those folks, yet they still talk like that within earshot. If only they knew she could devour them in what, five minutes flat? She eats fast when she's hungry. Would they say the same then? Probably...
KHAIN.
Mentally, she's not doing very well. She witnessed the massacre of most of her beloved siblings by her father, nearly died herself, then faced the brink again due to the nightwalker blight, consumed numerous people, and almost perished a couple of years later due to the devorare blight. Then she ate her parents, and her last three siblings died the week before. So, yeah, it's... it's a bit much.
Quite unstable, really... but, but! She's improving! Not by much, but it's something! Haha.
She laughs when she's nervous, which is often, but she'd never admit it. So, she assumes they think she's a maniac or something.
Yeah... she does love a battle though, or hunting. It helps her keep her beastie under control the rest of the week... if she's eaten or drunk enough blood and flesh.
Arcana
The first magic Khain had been initiated into was Exodii as a teen. Years later she acquired Nightwalker and Devorare within two years.
Her blight and galdr magics are very handy in battle, but her Nightwalker side can be a little too unstable. She tries to restrain that part of herself as much as possible to not lose control on the battle field and kill everyone.
She may pursue other Arcana in the future as some of it may help with battle without unleashing her nightwalker side (it's a last resort).
She was born on Day 35 (January 4th) of Winter, 98th Year of the 3rd age, the eldest of several siblings.
Her mother's Warband was chaotic. Her father always ate the new recruits who had died that day. Her mother always killed the new recruits during training and with each passing day they looked worse than the last. Sometimes, they never woke up from the previous night's rest. Dead in the morning.
Her father was a Nadja who lived within the Gnolls' warband and enjoyed his time there. Unbeknownst to everyone except her mother; he was a Nightwalker. In contrast, her mother was his opposite; she had devorare. And no, it wasn't just because her father was a snake. A lone nightwalker and a lone user of devorare in a warband of non-blighted Gnolls surprisingly lasted for three decades before everything went awry. Her father was a master, after all; he could control himself to a certain extent. However, the same couldn't be said for the night when he slaughtered everyone, including the majority of his own offspring. He didn't mean to; he simply lost control, unable to restrain himself. Rather than admitting that he lost control, he said it was to cull the weak... apparently.
Khain had survived, and many months later, at the age of twenty-two, she became a nightwalker. Two years later, at twenty-four, her mother had three adult children left out of twenty-one. Whatever she thought at that time by having Khain acquire Devorare on top of the Nightwalker Blight, she had no clue, but it did make her thirstier, hungrier than she'd been with just the Nightwalker Blight.
More blood and more flesh.
She was fucked.
At that point, she was more unstable. With two blights, anyone would be. A week later, her parents... well, she, um, she ate them. She didn't mean to, honestly. But when she came to, all that was left was blood stains on the ground.
