DETAILS
Zaos is a tall aelf with large protruding ears that stick out of his long, yet elegantly twisted locs. His most often used outfit was a set of green robes that seemed like they were meant to identify the aelf as an animist. His appearance is an obvious compensation to indicate a desire to return to his roots, though he would never admit this fact aloud.
Arcana
Zaos leans more into using Exodus more than he does Animism, though it seems like his Exodus has been affected by his Animism as time goes on. His nexus hall and pocket dimension seem to be derivates of a greenhouse. As if speaking directly to his soul, the symbolism is clear in that Zaos feels most safe and most at home, in an environment that was dedicated to the life and safety of plants and animals.

Personality
Zaos is generally a cautious person that prefers to think things out rationally rather than to make decisions based on a whim. He is often calm and collected, perhaps even emotionally detached from the majority of his decisions, though this is likely to be the result of his solitary lifestyle. There is always a 'worst case scenario' escape plan, simply because it's easier to live with the paranoia than it is to figure out a long-term solution.

HISTORY
Zaos is the result of a prophecy that was promised to a particular line of Jin'Norai Animists, but the price was bigger than what was initially imagined. Long ago, before the aelf was even conceived, his clan had settled in Arcanis after being in conflict with the Aeld'Norai. His clan in particular however, did not truly want to let go of their past. One of his ancestors pleaded with a Rakshasa spirit to "one day allow his lineage to return to the old ways" and to "free them from the confines of this desert."
Eventually, an aelf was born that seemed to be the embodiment of his ancestors desire. When the aelf was young, he poured himself into his studies. He found himself enamored with the history of the faefolk, and often fantasizing about communing with forests and other creatures that weren't suited for life in the desert. And it was the corruption of this aelf, that had been the Rakshasa spirit's fulfillment of the prophetic request. The spirit approached the aelf, and offered to satisfy his idle curiosities that would never be fulfilled through books alone. The aelf accepted, and his reward was to receive the mark of the Exodii.
But the price of the power of freedom had been a steep one. It was a cruel sense of irony, for the aelf's consciousness had been caged, and eventually usurped by the Other. Despite sharing the same body, the Other had essentially disassociated itself from its host and its prior attachments. Overtime, the aelf had become so far removed from his brethren that he was assumed to be dead.
The only one who knew the truth, was the Rakshasa Spirit to whom the aelf was bound to via the Exodus mark. As the Other continued to grow in its understanding and mastery of Exodus, it seemed like the aelf was diminishing, until one day the Spirit noticed something peculiar. When the being had discovered its pocket dimension, it adopted the appearance of a greenhouse room, as if it were directly influenced by the presence of the animists aether.
It was then that the Spirit realized that the being it had tethered to was no longer seeing itself as the aelf that it once was, or the Other. Instead, it embraced its new identity. A union that was dubbed by the Rakshasa Spirit: "Zaos."
